It's a Paisley world, I'm just trying to live in it...

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Paisley Photography offered a portrait home studio open house.  Two familes took me up on the offer of studio portraits at my place.

Saturday the Dodd family came over and posed for family photos. We got some wonderful family shots, as well as some of just the kids and then just mom and dad. It was a great mixture.

Then Sunday, Sarah of Visual Changes Salon & Spa brought her daughter, dog, and cousin over for her own type of family photos. Eastyn and Hayden (the dog) enjoyed running around my living room probably more than getting their pictures taken. With a little help from mom and Aunt Carolynn, we had some fun and I got some great candids.

A few weeks ago (yes, I’m behind on my posting) I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Michael’s wedding in Glen Burnie.  Despite the rainy day, the poor weather didn’t damper the fall ceremony.

Sarah and I discovered we had a common connection through our love of marching band a couple weeks before she got married; I figured this must have been the reason we clicked so well.

The reception, held at Town & Country Caterers, kicked off with an entrance to some classic video game themes and continued into a festive evening of dancing and fun.

I wish Sarah and Mike the best. They were a fun easy going couple to work with and I hope their big day was a dream come true.

Sarah and Eric are from two different sides of the country but found each other and are getting married next year! Sarah is from North Dakota so they are planning a destination wedding of sorts. However, they currently live in Columbia near Eric’s family. We enjoyed a beautfiul Sunday afternoon at Brookside Garden and I got some very loving shots.

All the fall colors we in full bloom, which created some stunning fall backdrops.

We couldn’t pass up taking a walk through the beautiful foliage.

Congratulations Sarah and Eric! All the best to both of you. It’s always nice to see two people so happy together.

A few months back I donated a gift certificate to Woodmont Academy’s annual charity function. The Applegate family won the gift certificate and I had the pleasure of photographing them a few weekends ago. Maria was super photogenic and a lot of fun to chase after.

Erica and Patrick were wonderful to talk to and it was a definite pleasure to spend the morning with them.

We got very lucky and had wonderful weather while wandering around Lake Elkhorn. It was a great day for pictures!

I hope you guys enjoy your pictures and your auction winnings were well worth it!

October was a crazy month full of photography adventures! The Lindhorst family are huge football fans and wanted to do portraits wearing their favorite teams’ jerseys. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we could actually go outside to play some football, but we moved things inside and got some fabulous family portraits.

As life-long Baltimoreans, of course Heather, John, and Kaylee had to rock the purple!

Since it was October, Heather and I agreed that the pink Ravens jerseys were extremely appropriate in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Now John is a Seahawks fans, so everyone had to show support for dad’s favorite team.

Last summer, I photographed Lisa and John’s wedding and this summer Lisa was ready to trash her dress. We found a fabulous spot behind Savage Mill in Laurel where Lisa could get pretty down and dirty. Lisa had no issues playing in nature, which led to some great shots, especially once we got into the water. Next time I just need to remember my water shoes!

I had the pleasure of wandering around Federal Hill in Baltimore with a fabulousy fun couple, DyNaesty and Ivan. DyNaesty definitely had that first real moment of “Ah! We’re getting married!” These two are very much in love and very obviously enjoy the other’s company. Their fun-loving relationship made for some great candid moments all over the city.

Talk about two people that couldn’t take their eyes off each other. They also couldn’t stop making each other laugh. What a great afternoon! Congratulations DyNaesty and Ivan.

Laura was looking to do a Trash the Dress session and stumbled across me, thanks to the Internet. We met up at Glen Echo Park on a beautiful June afternoon and had fun exploring the old carnival-esque park.

My wonderful husband just happens to also be my wonderful Webmaster. He’s had a few days off from schoolwork so he kindly made some updates to PaisleyPhotography.com. Check out his hard work! There are new pictures up in every section of the weddings and portraits galleries and the design has changed just a bit. Have a look,
you might even see yourself. :-)
