Trash the Dress Test Shoot
Posted by SnapShot
Sunday, Jan. 11th 2009On Saturday, Chrysi Guzman was kind enough to play model for me and “trash” one of her formal dresses that was just hanging in the back of her closet. I was lucky to have Chrysi as my test subject, who could totally be a model and was a complete natural. I really appreciate Chrysi’s help. Her natural beauty and fun personality made this super easy and made our time together fly by.
To trash the dress, we went to a new home that is still under construction; the home of our make-up artist in fact. It was such fun! Chrysi was a great sport, allowing me to put her in dusty and dirty locations while wearing a very beautiful dress. She was ready to get really trashed, scaling a dumpster, climbing in some trees, making ’snow’ angels in the dirt and hay, and even doing a little lamp hanging in the process.
For anyone concerned, don’t worry, Chrysi’s dress is still in tact; it just needs a little drycleaning and it will be back to new.
I had a great time doing this session and can’t wait for the next one. I thank Chrysi for modeling and Heather Lindhorst for leading her make-up artistry talents (and house).
Here are some of the shots. Enjoy!
